With that said, I am still a fan of this author. Her potential is boundless. I hope that she trusts in her writing instincts and stop second-guessing herself. Sometimes a tale doesn’t need to veer off the road to be exciting. Most roads take you where you need to go. So, here’s another idiom customized for the audience, leave with the story you came with. I think if Ms. Swain had done so, this would have been a much more satisfying read. Oh well, there’s always next time.
My rating: A woulda, coulda, shoulda 3.9 (and that’s being generous)
